I'm going to try to start some cuttings of it to see if I can keep it going in pots inside the pool cage, where the sun is just that little bit gentler. I had a heaven-sent helper appear at my door today - young fellow from down the street who has lost his job and was desperate for a day's work offered to weed my jungle for me. I carefully asked if he "really" was prepared to take on this task, and sure enough, he's out there doing a wonderful job. It was just this week, I was thinking I needed to put an ad out for a garden helper. Life is good! Now I wonder if I can talk him into coming back to help me plant . . .. Did not get as cold as they predicted here last night, so the Shooting Stars are continuing to 'shoot'. Dwarf white cannas blooming on the south side of the house, too. |
