A word on making a house handicapped/wheelchair accessibility: it opens up a whole \'nother mbuyer\'s market: not only for those qwho need the accomodations right now, but there\'s a vast, ever-growing group of people who consider it a plus - as they contemplate aging in place. People ALWAYS get older!

I\'m not doing very much recently. I fell last month (my bad knee buckled) and broke a vertebra in my back. Most of the pain is gone, but it\'ll be another 2 months before that bone heals. Meanwhile, I have an appt. this month with my orthopedic surgeon to schedule knee replacement surgery later this fall. There\'s a heat spell here (it\'s 91!) , so I don\'t really mind staying in the air-conditioned house, laying down and occassionally puttering around. Between friendws, family, neighbors and 2 new helpers (1 comes every month for ONLY gardening and one comes every week for whatever I need . . house and/or garden).

I planted out my tomato seedlings and created my 2016 Tomato Jungle (8 plants in containers on my back patio) the week before my accident, so I\'m keeping it going - with the help of my new garden helpers.
