WormsLovSharon wrote: The way the wind blew last nigh, I should at least be in Utah. I got on line this morning to see what I had to do to leave my bougainvilleas outside but at the same time protect them from freeze. Well I read for about 10 minutes and then I texted the HOA landscape fellows and asked if they could stop by at the end of their shift and help me get the broken pepper tree branch out by the pool hauled off, move the bougainvilleas and also the tropical hibiscus into the garage area. Then I proceeded out to the garage area, trimmed all of the leaves off the plumerias, moved some of the plants I could move into other areas and made room for 6 more large plants. It took me about 45 minutes but needed to be done or a plumeria was going to get broken. After they were done, I asked thm if thry anted their Christmas cash now, before black Friday or closer to Christmas. Of course thy said now. So I got three big hugs, three God Bless You and all of my zone pushing plants are inside. Except one. As I was walking the dogs, I walked right by the variegated white bougainvillea. Different area and I forgot all about it. They also put a freeze cloth over the bougainvillea that grows in the ground. It planted itself under a very large boulder and up against the south side of the house and has lived through 3 winters so I guess it will be OK. I did cover it with a freeze cloth and the tomato is covered with a freeze cloth. I went to Trader Jo's today after landscape fellow left. It is a small store so I thought no big deal. Man, was I wrong. I had to pick up greens for a salad for tomorrow. Some young ladies just automatically pick the wrong guy because they think they are not worthy of anything better. It will be hard for her to find someone because she already has two children. Hopefully she can prove he was the father and get Soc Security benefits for the child. Betty, glad you are going to get some sleep. You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. You in Canada, can just over eat to celebrate with us. This bouquet I picked today around 4pm, just before the sun went down. Suppose to maybe freeze tonight so I wanted to cut them before freezing temps. Just a bunch of greenery, roses, the white bougainvillea, the red berries are mock orange seed pods getting ready to pop. Hugs to you all. Second one is Luke with his new puppy. |
