My plant goes dormant in winter, I don't think it dies back b/c it has protection from a few trees. I have a neighbor that grows them and always cuts the top branches, the trunk is big and it never dies back either. Linda, I've gotten rose seeds to germinate. I think most roses need to have at least 6 weeks of cold weather to help them germinate. I open the rose hip and clean the seeds then place in pot with label, regular dirt in pot with sand on top of seeds. Leave it outside during the winter, check on it during spring. The seedlings are tiny and hard to recognize sometimes. I've plugged one or 2 out thinking they were weeds, lol. Loved that Asagao site Dany, Beautiful blooms! Debra, that 2nd lite pink bloom is Blushing Bride! It could have been mistaken for pink porcelain cross Jackie but I have 2 vines in that pot and remember it having beige seeds. Just glad it can still make a bloom this late. Only 2 blooms for today. A no ID and ip indica. |
