Yes, 'My' objects are fuzzy and whitish, but more round than elongated.

DANG!! I wish I had read your reply yesterday!!! I found some more fuzzy guys on a rose stem while 'dead-heading', so I was able to cut off the piece of stem and bring it in the house to get out of the 106 degree heat. Took some more awful pictures with my cell phone. Kept the stem for a few days and just threw it away yesterday!!
Never thought about keeping it to see what hatches....Good idea!! Kinda scary. IF I ever see any more, could I put it in a jar with holes in the top?

Of course I'm not going to sacrifice a Pepper plant by cutting off the stem, and they're always on a stem...
