I just planted the last of my new plants from the swap. Everything looks great! :-) SSG and Seq, I'm way behind you on the early summer perennials coming out! A few things are blooming, though. 1) My Echinacea purpurea 'Rasberry Truffle' bloomed! I'm really happy about this because this plant did *not* do well for me last year. In fact, I almost managed to kill it off completely before I found a good spot for it! Glad to see it growing well and putting out an early first bloom this year. It and 'Secret Affair' are my first coneflowers to show buds so far this year-- I see some beginning to form on Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' though! 2) My Coreopsis grandiflora 'Solanna Golden Ball.' I posted the first bloom for this just a few days ago, and here it is now bursting with blossoms! It was a real prolific bloomer for me all last season. 3) My Penstemon barbatus 'Prairie Husk' in full bloom now. I also think I see the first shoots coming up of my tuberose--yay, at last! Glads and crocosmia all have lots of nice stalks now but nothing resembling a bud yet... |
