Ethan loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks...he always protects me from them. I love when he gets playful and runs around the yard in giant circles while I chase him in the middle....such a cutie! I have to be careful tho because last year we saw a bobcat twice in the yard....so scary since he's a little peanut that the bobcat would think of as a delicious appetizer!

OK - Ethan the right way! He's sitting in my bowl garden by the driveway....pretty open there for him to watch for the bad squirrels!

The bowl gardens....we terraced the hill next to the circular driveway a few years ago....now I have too many gardens to keep up with but it's super pretty!

A box baby turtle (my pinkie for size) was on my step...the step is several times taller than that turtle - I have no idea how he made it up there. I picked him up and hid him in the tall yellow loosestrife....now he has a fighting chance of making it!

My bleeding hearts....they are so pretty this time of year! It is getting warmer - very humid today and breezy - I'll totally take the wind....kept the bugs away for most of the day!

Last but not least -- my blueberry tart iris....the first iris to bloom this year! Yeah - it must mean its getting warmer!
