Rose and noid salvia with faded alliums in the background. Last year the alliums and rose bloomed together but I pruned the rose too late this year. What kind of a salvia is this?

Ninebark. I read somewhere this was good in the shade. Nope! It doesn't bloom well in the shade at all.
edit: that blue hosta in the background is supposed to be Gold Standard. It is now 100% blue. Weird!

Dwarf mock orange! Aspenhill and happy, are yours blooming? Unfortunately there is no scent at all.
