Pfg wrote: Yikes, Ju! Good thing you found them! Nice of your sister to clean up, but sounds like she needs supervision, lol! On the Lupines, I have 6 red stems and 3 green so far. Another one sprouted today and got planted, one of the bigger tan seeds. I'll see what color that stem is when it emerges. Like you, Kathy, I'll keep the two sets separate in the garden. I'm going to guess for now that the red stems are the red flowers, but I don't expect to see them for another year. The plants in the garden must show some coloration in the foliage too, right? Maybe when they bloom this spring you'll see which is which? The other pic is the maybe Aquilegia. It's just beginning to make true leaves. Maybe by next week it will become clear what it is... I did Christa Barlow last year, more blue than Nora, the same delicate shape. Should get blooms this year, I hope... I also hope I can remember where I put her, my notes don't say. Oops! My husband does offer to help in the real garden, and once in a while I take him up on it. He's good for helping lift heavy mulch bags onto the wheelbarrow, and using the chain saw for the occasional serious prune. And he seriously admires the results, acts like a proud papa. But mostly he's great for having dinner ready at the end of the day. Loooove a man who cooks, lol! |
