NursingStudent wrote: Hi Everyone, About a week ago, I noticed a few of these pesky insects flying around the outside of my bedroom window. I thought nothing of it. As the days have progressed however, I've noticed their population was increasing. They seem to be congregating on the NW facing wall of my home. None have made it in *yet*. Their numbers peak in the afternoon, and they almost completely disappear at night. I've been using the water hose to knock them down. They do not sting, but with their population increasing, it's become very annoying (especially when were BBQ-ing this weekend). I don't know if this information is relative, but approximately 20 ft. North of their gathering spot, I have a 40 year old Oak tree. I've lived here for 7 years )Central Alabama) and have not come across this insect before. I appreciate any help in identifying this insect so I can deal with them properly. Thank you in advance! NursingStudent |
