(If anyone has a better ID, would love to hear it.) It's been growing fabulously well in a bed I have that gets lovely morning sun and some dappled/filtered afternoon sun as well. I got several coleus this year, and this one has turned out to be my absolute favorite. I am definitely going to put it in a container for the winter and put it back in the garden next spring. I cut off the flowers a couple weeks ago at Gita's suggestion, and since then it has sprouted about half a dozen new ones! The leaves are velvety. Just love it. These photos were taken a couple weeks ago, and since then I've removed the first blooms as Gita suggested, and also a few leaves that seemed to be taking on a greenish tint in the extreme heat we had. A post of pics of this coleus from this morning is below. This message was edited Jul 29, 2013 6:56 AM |
