The first photo was taken on 1/29/13 at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. The second photo shows a hunter preparing his decoys. I took this photo at Middle Creek Wildlife Management area in PA, on 3/5/13. Electronic calls are also allowed to attract the Snow Geese. Some of these decoys are motorized to simulate a flying (landing) goose.

The third photo is that of a Bufflehead. The fourth is of a few Green-winged Teals. Both taken at Bombay Hook NWR, in DE. Last is a photo of a White Pelican taken at Blackwater NWR on the eastern shore of Maryland. Blackwater is about as far north as the White Pelicans migrate. It seems like a number of birds are gradually expanding their territory.
