I sent it down to the GH a while ago thinking it was a goner but trying to give it one last chance before I tossed it. I picked up this Mini Amaryllis from the HGHA Raffle Table. I thought it was a cute plant. It was one that went from the yard to the GH last fall. I was pleasantly surprised to see it getting ready to bloom. I see 2 blooms and I think maybe another one. The really fascinating thing about this plant is all the very tiny bulbs it is pushing out. They are all over the top of the pot. A few have rooted and are putting out very tiny leaves. They seem to come from the area between the larger bulbs not under the surface but at the top of the bulb where they are coming out of the soil. I gathered up a good 2 dozen of them and started 2 small pots with them. |
