I don't do a thing to my big staghorn except occasionally throw some coffee grounds up there for it, and if it's dry weather for a long time I spray it with the hose a bit. It came through the two bad winters with no protection, although it did pout a bit until this year. It's really pretty much out of reach up there.

I didn't put it in the tree, and to be frank, I wouldn't have done that, but it is well established now and there's no moving it. Every time I look at it I wonder if it's making the tree rot down the middle from keeping it too wet. Sure hope not! We'd be devastated to lose any part of that tree. So I'd advise you to hang it in a basket, and be prepared for it to need a forklift and a chain to move it in the years to come! They have one at Selby Gardens that is the size of a Volkswagen.

New this morning, Peruvian daffodils! I've been waiting a year for these to put up flowers. The plants are nearly 3ft. tall, and now the flowers are also E-normous! Twice the size of the ones I've had before. Guess it's most likely thanks to all our rain.

I also finally have some white Achimenes. Hey, did you all notice the new photo software allows you to delete a photo from a post if you put in the wrong one? It's great!
