Quite frankly, you all have beautiful Asiatics, even when there are but a few varieties.

This has been a tough lily season due to the red lily beetle and the requirement to spray. So far everything has been lovely. I was astonished to find an oriental lily in June. These lilies should be blooming late July or early August. It is definitely not the best specimen of Star Gazer rubrum, but there is not doubt about its scent.

While not true lilium, the callas in the second picture have been magnificent. I never expected such large gorgeous "blooms" with such pretty foliage. It is one of the few containers not destroyed by chipmunks.

We have been plagued by chipmunks for some awful reason, and they are impossible to eradicate. They seem to go after bulbs and corms as well as small plants.
