I was disappointed that there were only 17 entries in the 3 yard quilt contest & honestly, I made quilts much prettier than many of those entries. The prizes were worth winning. • Grand Prize: $200 fabric shopping spree • Runner Up: $100 fabric shopping spree • 2nd Runner Up: $50 fabric shopping spree Check out Walla Walla Sew & Vac and Spas on facebook to see the entries. We also shopped at our favorite tiny little quilt shop and spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. Hard NOT too when her prices are ridiculously low. Quilt shop fabric, some discounted as low as $5 per yard, most of about $8 per yard. We also bought 2 more Fabric Cafe books (3 yard quilt books). an adorable paper piecing farm animals books & 1 Villa Rosa card pattern. Then on to the thrift stores. I only came home with 2 TV trays, 1 dress & 1 blouse, a large piece of art for the bedroom. Sharon, you are correct. At the rate they are going it will be difficult for them to be out by June 1st. They paid May rent, that is NOT the point. I wanted them OUT. I hope they understood I was serious when I told them June 1st, I am recruiting help and getting anything they have not moved GONE. Dump, donation or whatever. It is not staying here. I am beyond disappointed and angry with my son. You would be shocked at the mess they have in the parking in front my house, blocking the view of my beautiful flower gardens. #1, what it looks like now with a pickup loaded with stuff for the dump that has been there now 2 weeks. The cardboard boxes they taped up and left out on sidewalk. The tent canopy they put up that the wind has tore up & partially taken down. The leftover supplies leaning against the trailer after they worked on the interior. What you can\'t see under that canopy is a truck load of JUNK they need to move to their house. #2 last year at this same time, basically the view that they stuff is covering up. |
