guaranteedsales wrote: Sprayed with Sevin and killed everything. About 4 days ago I bought some Sevin concentrate. I then bought a new 1-gallon spray tank at Wal-Mart also. I mixed the concentrate with 4 oz of Sevin to 1 Gal of water. I mixed it in the tank and then sprayed my entire Grape vineyard, eight grape plants. I then sprayed my Blackberries, Blueberries, and Raspberries. Also sprayed my Roses, Blackgum, bearded trees. Finally I did my small orchard of young trees, Peach, Nectarine, and Cherry. Next morning when I went to check everybody out I found most everything brown and falling leaves. The only tree I didn’t spray was a small dwarf Peach which remains in good health. The following morning I could see the grass was dying all around the spray pattern of everythin. As of this Am almost all are dead with no signs of life. We also had a small thunder storm on the second day that was to late to effect the spray. I have been using Sevin for some time, like 30 years and from a small spray bottle as well as dust and it never caused problems. This was the first time I used the concentrate because of the quantity I needed to care for. I plan to call Walmart and make them aware but seriously doubt they will be concerned unless they have had a prior complaint. I will call the number listed on the concentrate but feel they will say I made a mistake. It looks like what Roundup or a similar product will do. I plan after rain is over to spray a portion of grass and see what happens. This post is to see if anyone has ever this type of problem. I am 80 years old on my farm in Tennessee and am not senile at this point. Any input would be appreciated. |
