deglyafr wrote: Hi, It is in between late winter and early spring in the UK right now and I have been seeing what I can only describe as miniature ladybird like beatles in my room mostly at night though I have seen one or two out during late afternoon and early evening. I haven't payed much attention to their flying pattern but I noticed they fly in a circular like manner around my bedroom light at night which seems to always attract them so therefore I am under the impression they might possibly be nocturnal beatles that are attracted by artificial light are rather than natural light. They do not make any noise whatsoever such as buzzing when flying for example. If I had to compare their size to something, I would say they are similar to the size of a crumb off a biscuit or something. Absolutely tiny! I am so used to seeing them around that I am able to spot them from a short distance. They have jet black, chocolate brown and creamy greyish white stripes that appear to have a crown in the middle of each of them. My photo is not of good quality despite trying to get my camera to clearly focus at a very close distance hence why I made the photo bigger. I look forward to your replies!
