My potted plumeria continues to grow and produce flowers, but every year the main two trunks continue splitting up the stalk. When I first noticed it a few years ago, the split was a few inches long. Now it's grown in length and depth, and yet the plant is still growing. Will this eventually kill the plant? Should I harvest the healty stems for cuttings, or leave it alone? I've never seen this with any of my other plumies.
