Insect and Spider Identification: Beetle infestation , 2 by Alexbug8

Our house in Pennsylvania got infested with what appears to be some type of 1-2mm beetles and they\'re mostly in our wardrobe and bedroom. They don\'t bite and they fly occasionally but they mostly crawl around on curtains, clothes, bed covers.

They look like carpet beetles but we\'re skeptical because all the ones I found on the web are oval and these guys are teardrop shaped.

We have no idea how to get rid of it other than taking every single garment, cover, towel, curtain and washing it in hot water but there\'s no guarantee that we\'all catch all of them.
Is there a more efficient method of scaring them away perhaps with some odor?
