That means--I won\'t either. Hope they can find the time to clear the side roads. I have been digging and digging. But--then the sea of 3\' deep snow that was staring at me was impossible to imagine digging out. I had already been digging for 2 hours. OUCH! I knew I could not even start on this. My 2 neighbors behind me drove around and cleared as much as they could so cars could, at least, get in and out. OK....That was good--but the dug out driveway was way too narrow for me to even open my car doors to get out. Today--I finished widening the driveway so there was room for doors to open. Now--there is a5\' tall mass of snow on my front lawn and everyone elses. Did you get less than we did here? Just wondering if you got less that the piles of snow we got here? The News did say that Baltimore and DC were the Epi-Centers of this storm. 1--Here is my driveway--after all I could dig was just around the car. Al the rest of the snow is 3\' deep in front of it. Look across the street where this man is trying to dig out. You will get the idea. 2--Here is my driveway after my neighbor snow-blowed it just enough for my car to fit into it. I dug off another 2\' or more today to widen the driveway enough to be able to open my car doors once I drove my car into the driveway. I ended up doing most of the hand-digging myself. No one else to do it.... Nothing to take lightly! This storm was nasty! I bet the piles of snow will still be around a month from now... G. |
