Speaking of Rudbeckia mysteries, what do you make of this strange little plant? The flower is only about 2" above ground level...nope that's no typo - 2"..my hand is resting on the ground in these photos! The leaves between my fingers in the second photo seem attached to the same plant. There is a Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm' next to it, but it doesn't look like a Goldsturm to me.
