I meant to ask one of you who has pinched back NE Asters to tell me this at the swap but forgot, so....please see photos. Is it too late? I don't see any buds yet. They're about 2' tall. They reached about 5' last year - too tall for that spot and I had to stake them.

If it's not too late, where do I pinch; how low down, at what point on the stem, etc.?
