Only the 1st 4 HD's built in this area had GH's-- Glen Burnie....White Marsh (us)...Catonsville....and Towson. after that--all the stores had to have their plants somewhere inside. The GH is as long--as the store is wide. Lots of room. Our GH serves many purposes--plants are just at one end...by the big window.. Other uses... --Once upon a time--it had a beautiful pond in there--waterfall, fish and all... --A refuge for tender plants on carts if a cold snap hits --a holding place for delivered Holiday plants till they are merchandised. --A place to keep stacks of firewood dry --A nice, out of the way location, to display all the grills and their accessories --A place to keep all the seed growing supplies --And a place where the assemblers can bang away and run their drills without annoying everyone in the store. Took some pictures yesterday to show you.... 1--2--3 and 4---Here are the tables in the front--by the big window 5--looking back to the front of the GH from the back end |
