4) The Nandina has been underperforming for me, but this may be because I deliberately planted it in a shadier-than-desirable spot after reading so much about how invasive it can be. I guess it has worked, because it's grown super slowly! Not as much red fall color as I would have liked, though, and only one stalk of fall berries; I wonder if I should find a sunnier spot for it after all?
