Beginner Gardening: my 2013 flowers, 0 by emptyeyes

I don't remember if I posted these two pictures on this page, I have two plants that I have no idea what they are, one is supposed to be a Lilac bush but has no buds, seeds or anything else, the leaves are smooth and waxy looking and it is taller than my head, the other looks like it could be strawberrry but has had no fruit,seeds or anything the leaves are jagged looking and rough. I will try to post two pics of them and maybe you can help me out, if I can't find out what they really are, I will either dig or pull them up and put something there that I can identify. The first two pics are the one that is over my head, one is a single leaf and the other is the whole bush. The third pic is the one I thought was strawberry, but it is spreading all through the Iris bed that is around the iron pole.
