It's surprising how much easier growing is if you don't have to fight the soil you're using, and how much more realized potential you can expect when you don't have to work within the confinements of an inherently limiting medium. The recipes are a good starting point, but it's really the understanding of how water behaves in soils that paves the way for the ability to get soo much more out of growing.
