kaseymc wrote: Hi, great thread! There are so many accomplished and talented people here on DG, its wonderful to be among such good company, and to learn more about you. I am married, 33 years old, and enjoying my life now more than ever. My husband and I have a 9 yr old boy and a 2 year old boy. Yep, the second one was a big surprise! However, we wouldn't trade a moment of it! I work part time in the mortgage industry, mostly doing marketing and promotions, which allows me to do alot of my work from home. I used to be a hairdresser, but when our little guy came along, I stopped working and became a stay at home mom. My husband owns his own business and is working long hours, especially in the summer time. I have always been very independant and I take the boys on lots of trips, we especially love Drummond Island, Mi. where I was raised. Water sports, fishing and laying on the beach are always big hits with the boys!!!! Some day my husband and I would like to buy a summer house up there where we can have family vacations, but time will tell. I love so many things; painting, home decorating, any craft, cooking, gardening (of course), entertaining, outdoor activities, sports (I play and have coached girls volleyball, played basketball on a championship team, enjoy football and soccer and just about any other sport you could name), antiquing and bargain hunting, and I especially love reading and writing. My husband says that nothing captures my attention for long because I love to learn and do everything! I used to think that maybe something was wrong with me, but reading about all of you, I see that there are many out there like me and it gives me comfort! haha! We have 7 acres of land with virtually no landscaping. We have remodeled and added a large living area to our home in the last year. We are in the process of building a garage with a nice big room above it right now. Once all the big projects are finished, I hope to get to the landscaping and really digging my hands (literally) into the dirt! I'll need all your advice and expertise then! It's been really great meeting all of you, and I always read the new posts. Most of the time I don't have time to respond, but you are always a part of my day! Keep posting, I enjoy getting to know you all! Kasey |
