mindtempest wrote: Hi I recently went back to my old school (located in Singapore), and I found these bagworms on some of the plants there. The bagworms have essentially destroyed the plants in the region, as can be seen by the state of the leaves. We removed about half the bagworms and opened some of them up. The bagworms' bags, when stripped of their leaves, were up to 30mm (slightly over an inch) long for the largest larvae, and usually were 15-20mm long (3/4 of an inch). The unbagged bagworms can be seen in the attached pictures. Can anyone identify those bagworms to anything more specific than family? Thanks! |
