Log feeders are filled with a home made mix of Chunky Peanut Butter, Uncooked Oatmeal, Grape Preserve, Raisins and Cornmeal used as a binder if necessary. Sometimes a little used cooking fats and oils from the container on the back of the stove.

Equal parts Peanut butter and Oatmeal, Easy on the Grape Preserve, hand full of Raisins and the rest to suit. If mix is too soft add Cornmeal or more Oatmeal to bind up into a Firm mix. Better to let it set a while before using.
