Buttoneer wrote: Hey! Here I am, back from the abyss. Well, got over the stroke and the concussion and the nasty cut on my leg (all in July) then we were doing our last outdoor craft show on 10/15 in Dillsburg, Pa when I tripped over a weight while we were putting our tent up & fractured my kneecap. I had some percocet, which that and my cane enabled me to go to my 50 year H.S. Reunion that night. Then I went to Hershey for an x-ray and it was confirmed. Jeez, I need a set of training wheels. Anyway, it's much better now and we just came back from another trip to va, this time for metal detecting for gold. Now We can all rest up & heal until march 2012 when we bring the camper back & start our monthly trips all over again. I did collect some seeds in Va. from the teeniest tiniest little sweet peas I ever saw in all my borned days. Pink & white, flowers no more than 3/8 inches across. I wanted to go back to that location last weekend & collect some more, but we never got there. Darn! But I know where it is & in September or October will return, take pix & collect more seeds, unless I can get these I collected to germinate in the Spring. Bob is getting his right knee replaced very soon after our last craft show 12/3 so he heals by the time we take the camper back to Va in March. Here's a recent pix of us with one of the gold prospectors from Va, Tim, who has adopted us as his Yankee folks. Nice to be back in the fold again, Buttoneer, Judy Showers. |
