Lily, thanks for starting the new thread. You sure have a great variety of birds. I've had a hawk here too, but luckily it hasn't stayed around long.

Burd, I noticed you posted a great photo of the Rusty Blackbird in the last thread. Four days ago one arrived here at my home!! It turned out that it's the "first ever" to be recorded in our county, considered a rare sighting in our state! We've had people in and out every day to see and photograph it ever since and now more people are scheduled for the week! My photos are being submitted to the rarity committee on eBird. This certainly has been an experience!

Also, if any of you participated in the Christmas Bird Count this past December, check out my photo of a Nuttall's woodpecker in the magazine they recently sent you.
