Countrymom, I hung my feeder just outside my kitchen window. There I get to watch my birds in close proximity and witnessed lots of their antics. Just like your finch seems to 'looking' at the world goes by. I noticed many younguns seems to be nodding off occassionally at the feeding station. Here is the mama woodpecker at feeding time. This year I was fortunate a family of these woodpeckers, both the Ma and the Pa took turn to bring their fledglings here to teach them to go after the seeds/nuts.
