Just don't buy her too many accessories that only 'go' with that bright lime green. Phew! I'm cooked today! I feel like a wimp with Debra and Rita suffering through 109 and 107, when our temp is only 93 but . . . what with the humidity and all . . it's tough to do much outside. There was a decent breeze this morning that made it tolerable in the shade for quite a while, though. Now I must address Project Mango! Dh is away and is missing fresh mangoes off the tree, so I'm madly freezing, making ice cream, drying and otherwise preserving the things for him to have when he gets home. Just hope the squirrels and raccoons leave enough on the tree for me to take some to my daughter next week. Usually this tree sets fruit twice, in January and again in March so it spreads the harvest out over a couple of months. This year the early fruit set was destroyed by frost so it set a big crop in March and here they are, all ripening at once! Frankly my dears, if I don't see another ripe mango until next June I'll be happy. |
