Big time storm NE of Vegas. Flooding and 60+mph winds and thunderstorms. Jnette, we do have a reservoir, it is called Lake Mead. It is behind Hoover Dam. Dave we have those hydroponic stores in the majority of all the neighborhood strip malls. They are popping up everywhere. They have wonderful products but pricey.. Is your organic store and hydroponic store? Yes, Jnette, that is for one month. And our home is "green" and energy efficient. Actually our friends down the street, who have three boys and a larger home have more than $2000 a month in power and water. This is usually for June, July and August. We keep the house at 80 degrees and we have separate air conditioning for different areas in the house. But I have never been able to get the power bill below $200 a month since we moved in 10 years ago. Even with new appliances, it still stay up. We have 5 Direct TV DVR's and I just put them on power strips and we are turning therm off at night. I read somewhere the DVR's suck energy even in the off mode. Just glad my family taught me to save money,. They just had a news bulletin that winds over 80 mph hit about 10 miles toward downtown. Took roofs off apartment buildings and big trees fell down big time. This is a photo today I took of Moi Grande hardy hibiscus. Jnette, you are right about my camera. You need a PhD to operate it. I am taking classes so maybe my photos will get better. |
