Our Bradford Pear provides lots of nice shade for the kids hanging out front and the cars. We hate to take it down but its getting so large and every storm I wonder how much longer it will stay in one piece. We planted it 15 years ago and have always had it thined and well cared for. So we are thinking of replacing with a Upright Japanese Red Maple tree. The guy that will be taking this tree down suggested the color may look nice with the white house. We saw two at his nursery and took a few pictures of them but really thinking one should have a more upright look and kinda like the lolly pop look more then the spreading umbrella look. We can only remove on this year so the front one will be the first to go. Its so tough as the tree is so nice a big now but at the same time seems over welming to the house. Any sugguestions?
