Yes the poor little Song Sparrow is still being a step mom to the Cowbird, I think her nest was in the hedge out back.. I`ve seen the Cowbird eat from the feeder today, so she might get a break. I would love to see a Cardinal, Red. They are a bit further south of us. Although my SIL said, her Dad had seen some at his feeder, and that was just by the US border of Maine, which is about 10 miles from here. Hoping a stray makes his way here. Lovely Bullock Oriole Duc. Good group shot of the Pelican, and cute Wren, it looks like it singing it`s little heart out. :) GG I have problems with Grackles as well. Hummers are much more fun to watch, and no competition with larger birds. |
