Please help identify this bug. Is it a nymph of some kind of stink bug? It has orange legs and antennae and a thin white margin on its "flanks" (?) The largest ones are developing an orange shield near the prothorax. There are hundreds on my sweet peppers but not on the hot. The peppers are just setting fruit and the beetles aren't bothering the plant. Are they waiting to damage the fruit? Also, I saw one that appeared to be eating a lady bug larva becoming a ladybug and it got in a fight with another one over its claim. Don't want to kill these if they're predatory but they seem to be doing nothing but hanging around waiting for something (like peppers).
