I had a variegated Brug 'Snowbank' a few years ago, and it was not quite as lusty as the big pink one, either. I have lots of patience for a variegated brug. If you like, I'll start you a cutting of 'Purple Possum' passiflora. It will fruit for you, for sure. There's no stopping it. I have a bowl full of ripening passion fruit in the kitchen and I can smell them from here 10 feet away. I collect up a big batch, then juice them all together. Delicious and so good for you. Deb, my plan is to plant Monster White where it will have some competition so it won't get too humungous. I have this giant live oak that I swear has roots miles from its trunk. There's a space under it where the tree has been thinned and is now pretty sunny in the afternoons. My clivias are not happy about the extra sunlight, so I'm thinking Monster White will be perfect for that spot. btw, Cherub is already in a 16in. pot in that picture! My little Kaemferia groundcover gingers blooming - new little sparkly flowers every morning. |
