Sometimes the third time is the charm. Last year I did my garden bed twice. The first with succulents....looked OK. Then with potted plants, but it didn't really look like a "bed."

So this year I finally got it right. It has a quilt of scotch moss (which is in bloom just in time for the garden tour! They are the tiniest little white flowers), with a turned down sheet edge of the chartreuse moneywort, and a fluffy pillow of white petunias. (The pillow has just grown back this week after being devoured by ground squirrels. Sure made those petunias short and squat as they chewed them down to nubs!)
