Red, congrats on the black-capped vireo! Elphaba is the name of the Wicked Witch of the West. She's green, so she has a green thumb -- get it?! I don't really have a green thumb anymore. Two years of drought and hard freezes and my thumb is only green with envy of people with sprinkler systems who live south of I 10!

Here are a couple of juvi Yellow-crowned Night Herons. Saw some baby alligators too. I just love them. They are so sassy lookin' even though they're only a foot long!
