I finally have the plate for the 500mm lens and will try it out on the tripod this afternoon. Fingers crossed that Whopper will be around the nest.

Here's another shot of the female partner of the released male. A bit distant, but headed directly for me. I love seeing the angle of the wings from a different perspective.
