I wasn't sure how it would travel but I got the tip from my youngest sister (who is a fabulous cook), to freeze the bread shortly after it cools, and to remove it from the freezer right before packing the box. She says it travels well that way? I'm going to be baking this weekend too ... a couple of different kinds of cookies, banana nut bread, pumpkin bread, cream cheese pound cake, and home made cranberry sauce. I give these in gift baskets to family, friends and neighbors.

I received my wonderful package from Jamie yesterday. She sent me a beautiful hand made Pine Cone Ornament. I sure wish I had the patience to do something crafty like that! She also sent holiday kitchen towels, scented soaps, a pair of cozy socks, and an oh soo cute little mini AV (Optimara "Little Sapphire") that I hope I can keep alive! Jamie, thank you so much for these great gifts, it made my Christmas really special!
