Good morning Sistahs.

Amen to that prayer for Kathy Susan.

Blood clots formed in lungs are most of the time originate from the legs, I heard. LK, keep us posted on her progress, please. That's a scary situation as I read that some wouldn't even know they have pulmonary embolism.

Cindy, you got a good man there. Ain't it wonderful that God sets it up that you'll be taken care of in all ways? Especially after a life changing surgery. Good luck on the implant, and you'll be able to hear what's going on around you, clearer.

I don't want that kind of days, Sue!!! Think we all had one of those but you are apparently the unlucky one. It all had to do with feathers and fur!
Yah, roosters can be vicious especially penned together. If that rooster had belonged to my late grandma, she would have rung its' neck and we'd be having rooster curry for lunch!!!
Poor you Sue.. get your papers in order so the next time.. you can join your DH anywhere in the world!

That's good news Stacey!! So.. if he eats and sleep well, that means Jonathan will be pooping well too?
All the aunties you have here, and not one of us live close enough to help you out... you might have to move down South where road travelling won't be that long!!

I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving feast and NO leftovers!!

Thank you sistah Judy. At first I got pretty upset with MIL's sudden decision to cancel her Thanksgiving plan, part of Kel's punishment.. but then I realized I've been asking the Lord for our own celebrations for years now!!!
He has made a way for that to be possible!!! Amen!!!
Yep, we had a VERY good time yesterday. We were at the restaurant before opening time and the owner, upon seeing us in the parking lot, came to greet us. She then literally ran back to the restaurant, came out with cooked chicken for Lola. Yep, Lola had her Thanksgiving lunch before us!
Meals were from the regular menu, Thai fish cakes, fried wontons, fried tofu... Kel had Thai Pepper Steak and I had a vegetarian Drunken Noodle. The most surprising thing was the owner created a dessert just for us. It's a coconut custard pudding with tapioca balls and it's so delicious. The owner also made sure it's not too sweet for me, respecting my diabetes. Kel who's not much into sweet coconut, ate 3 bowls!
Didn't I say they're almost like family to us?
After that we headed for a book store. Kel added to his collection of the "Far Side Gallery" and I got the 2nd. volume of 100 blocks by the Quiltmaker magazine.
When we got home, it was just in time to watch a nail biting game between the Saints and Dallas. Yayyy... Saints won!!
BUT.. I did cook for supper. Made the creamiest macaroni and cheese and sirloin beef tips. Can you say.. stuffed again?

Then the snooze fest began! It was certainly the best Thanksgiving day for us... no dramas.. no bad food...and it's so special to us, celebrating what He has done for us.

I truly have so many reasons to be thankful.
I thank the Lord for the things He gave me, and those that He didn't and the ones He's about to give!

This is the bowl of that special Coconut Custard.
