Beginner Gardening: Growing veggies in hydroponic wick system, 0 by jenn_in_okc

I live in an apartment but I want fresh herbs and veggies. So I bought a Hydrofarms Homegarden hydroponic system, and I planted cherry tomato, basil, oregano, and garlic. Within a week, I have roots on the garlic clove and some small but noticeable growth on the rest of the plants. Currently we're using CFL full spectrum bulbs , but those will be replaced in a week with 4 2ft T5 bulbs.
If you've tried growing veggies in similar system, can you give me any tips or advice?
