I love that Mary said that this Post might induce some "newbies" to jump in and participate--as they can start their own Posts and we all will help to "flesh it out"....
Jumping in on a L-O-N-G existing Post, where you don't know anyone --I even find that intimidating,
That is why I "LIVE" on the MAF.....

I think participation IS in a decline here.....I know I am bored with what is here now......

Sometimes the simplest aspects of gardening draw the most Posts....

Just look at the recipe Forum!!! Mamma Mia!!! I have THREE--3" binders full of recipes by now--
all from DG. plus many more just printed out and saved in "My Documents/My Recipes."
We ALL love to eat!
We ALL love to garden!....

Nothing wrong with combining the two?

Veggies chopped for "Indian Pickle" preserves.....

edited to add that---this is a humongous batch if it....A sweet/vinegary/piquant, vegetable relish.
Good to eat with anything--or by itself. Also--great to use up Green Tomatoes--or other not-so-ripe produce.
Many of us will be having these things in no time flat!
