Well, here it is! My very first shade garden!

Half of the garden is full shade, the other is partial. The big tree is a huge black walnut, like 60 - 70 feet.

I’ve planted hostas, monkshood, digitalis, beautiful rainbow leucothoe, day lilys, giant columbine, red dock, oxalis, bunchberry, euphorbia robbiae, lobelia, hellebores, bleeding heart, polemonium, phlox and geraniums. I have a few plants that were here before I took over, not sure what they are, so I’ll have a few surprises this summer!
