I am no help with your Cyrtosperma Johnstonii. I love them all but am an expert at none. Mine died a few years ago, but never seems to get more than three leaves at a time. As soon as a new leaf emerges, the old one turns yellow and fades away.
I remember that Tropicbreeze and Texasbigleaves are growing them quite successfully. If they ever drop by, perhaps they could tell you why your leaves are turning yellow around the edges.
