joeswife only vandas (i think) since they are epiphytes like spanish moss they get enough from the rain and humidity i guess. i was told that the orchid baskets start to break down and decay which cause disease to the orchid. so i just clipped them to a hook with some butterfly clips. i do have a hand pump spray that i dilute a little fertilizer in and spray (whenever i remember). they are the most dependable orchids for me now. you can kind of see in this picture it just has a litlle plastic basket supporting it but no medium.
