WELCOME Karen, glad you decided to "speak up" I was a long time lurker too, so very happy I finally got the courage to speak up here, as these are the best-est of "sistahs" any one could ever hope for !!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are happy about something they are here to share in your joy, and when you down.....they be right here cheering you up....

I am thunder, Married to one of the greatest guys in the world!! 3 marvelous sons, one very awesome grand daughter........I do a little garden stuff , but mostly I quilt, and quilt some more!!!!
funny you said "aging Hippie" I have been called "native Hippie" (for Native American) I forget to take care of myself too!!! thank goodness hubby is around to feed me, or I would just keep sewing!!!
I have a dog, a cat and two parrots. on the rare occasion hubby can drag me away from the sewing machine....we do like to go for a motorcycle ride............I think the beach is the best place to spend a day......(do have to get away from the sewing machine once in a while) LOL unfortunately I am still a member of the working world, and do so 2-11pm so I pop in late at night, and catch up on every ones day......
